The overall rating summarizes up to 57 quality measures that reflect common conditions that hospitals treat, such as heart attacks or pneumonia and also takes into account patient experience, safety, effectiveness, timeliness of care, readmission and mortality rates.
	Mercy Health – West Hospital earned an “A” in the 2018 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade.This is a national distinction which places Mercy West among the safest hospitals in the United States.
	Mercy Health – West Hospital received the American Heart Association "Get with the Guidelines" Gold Plus Award for Heart Failure.This award recognizes West Hospital’s success in implementing a higher standard of care by ensuring that heart failure patients receive treatment according to nationally accepted standards and recommendations.
