Mercy Health is pleased to announce that Gregory D. Haselhuhn, MD, FACS, has been named Vice President of Medical Affairs for Mercy Health – Perrysburg Hospital*.

Dr. Haselhuhn received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine degrees from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.  He joined the medical staff of Mercy Health in 1995 after completing his residency in urology at the Medical College of Ohio, now known as the University of Toledo Medical Center (UTMC).  In 2000, he became and currently remains the site director of the UTMC urology residency at Mercy Health-St. Vincent Medical Center and Children's Hospital.  He has been the Chair of the department of Urology at Mercy Health-St. Vincent Medical Center and Children's Hospital since 2009 and at the end of last year, he completed a three-year term as Chief of Staff. 

In his new role, Dr. Haselhuhn will be charged with developing strong professional relationships to encourage physician engagement, alignment, and recruitment and to work collaboratively with other members of the executive team.  He will seek to optimize processes, maximize the hospital’s operational efficiency, and look for growth opportunities to expand the footprint in the community of Perrysburg.
