Relief for women in labor

Whether you're expecting your first child or fifth, every pregnancy is different. At Mercy Health – St. Vincent Maternal-Fetal Medicine, we're committed to give you the best care possible by offering specialized testing and services.

What are maternal-fetal medicine specialists?

Our doctors specialize in diagnosing and treating a range of prenatal conditions, including diabetes, high blood pressure, premature labor, fetal abnormalities and carrying multiple babies.
Why am I being referred to Mercy Health – St. Vincent Maternal-Fetal Medicine?
We understand that many expectant moms are concerned when their doctor or OBGYN refers them to our office. But rest assured that this does not mean your pregnancy will be difficult or that your baby will have health problems.
Most of our patients simply have an increased risk of developing a complication, and are referred as a precaution. Through our advanced training and testing, we can help your doctor detect any problems as soon as possible.
If needed, our doctors and OBGYNs can also coordinate your care with the experts at Mercy Health - Children's Hospital. The hospital's Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and perinatal unit provide the most advanced care possible for moms and babies.
Will I see a maternal-fetal medicine doctor at every visit?
Not usually, unless you develop a need or your doctor requests a consultation.
Will I still see my doctor or OBGYN?

Yes, he or she will be your primary doctor during your pregnancy and delivery.

Our office is conveniently located on the Mercy Health  - St. Vincent Medical Center campus, in the Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) building, and parking garage #2 provides easy sky bridge access. Free valet parking is also available.
