- January: Interviews begin
- End of February: Offers extended
- Mid-April: Credentialing process begins for selected applicant
- July: Start of fellowship
Application Requirements
- Required Minimum Education: MD or DO
- Preferred Education:
- The one-year fellowship option is encouraged for those with graduate-level management.
- Degrees: MBA, MHA, MPH, MEd
Candidate Eligibility
To qualify for entry into ACGME-accredited fellowship programs, all required clinical education must be completed in one of the following types of residency programs:
- ACGME-accredited program
- AOA-approved program
- ACGME International (ACGME-I) Advanced Specialty Accredited program
- Residency program accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) in Canada
