Program Overview

Mercy Health — St. Rita’s Graduate Medical Education in Internal Medicine strives to develop health care practitioners with a passion for care based upon scientific evidence, superb clinical skills, the ability to communicate well and listen to others. As a resident, you will experience a comprehensive education with a broad and balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient exposures, as well as the ability to customize your course of learning to suit your personal career objectives.  The St. Rita’s Internal Medicine Residency Program is dedicated to educating the next generation of physicians to provide high quality health care for all, and be leaders in health care delivery, medical education, research and advocacy.

Our high quality comprehensive services include heart and vascular institute, cancer center, neuroscience institute, orthopaedics, trauma and emergency, outpatient wound care and hyperbaric medicine, special care for mothers and babies, pediatrics, sports medicine, outpatient rehabilitation, men’s and women’s wellness, podiatric medicine and surgery, weight management, behavioral health services, home health care and hospice.
