PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program
The PGY-1 resident will participate in the following activities:
- Provide direct patient care in pharmacy
- Precept IPPE and APPE students
- Present residency project at Ohio Pharmacy Residency Conference
- Present poster presentation at ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting
- Participate in various pharmacy committees (e.g. Medication Safety, Pain Committee, Antimicrobial Stewardship, P&T Committee)
- Complete a Medication Use Evaluation (MUE) and a drug monograph or medication class review for formulary committee
- Author and edit two or more articles for the Pharmacy newsletter

Required longitudinal rotations:

Elective rotations:
- Didactic Teaching Rotation (1 month)
- Emergency Medicine
- Home Care/Home Infusion
- Teaching Certificate (longitudinal)
- Transitions of Care
- Pain Management
The resident will have opportunities to participate in the above listed activities. These experiences will also be tailored to the interests and desires of the resident. Residents staff approximately 4 weekends in each 12-week period and one 4 hour shift (5-9pm) weekly.
