Mercy Health Appoints Shane Hardy Vice President of Finance for Mercy Health Physicians

(CINCINNATI; June 13, 2014) - Mercy Health, which provides advanced, compassionate, quality care in your neighborhood through its care network, announces that it has appointed Shane Hardy Vice President of Finance for Mercy Health Physicians.

Hardy began his new role with Mercy Health Physicians in March and is responsible for the following:
• providing oversight and support for the financial functions of our physician practices
• providing strategic financial leadership and management of the physician practices’ financial planning, annual budget processes and five-year plan

Hardy has been with Mercy Health and its parent organization Catholic Health Partners (CHP) since 2010, most recently as Chief Financial Officer for HealthSpan. He provided oversight for the financial aspects of an acquisition and CHP operations in Cleveland as well as CHP’s Clinically Integrated Network and Accountable Care Organization (ACO) Board, work which he will continue in his new role with Mercy Health Physicians.

Previously, Hardy served as Director of Financial Planning for Mercy Health, responsible for budgeting and forecasting for Mercy Health’s hospitals, physicians and Medicare shared savings program.

Hardy holds a Masters of Business Administration degree in Finance from Wright State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Mathematics from Cedarville University. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).

Hardy resides in Springboro, Ohio with his wife and two children.
