Becker's Hospital Review Names Mercy Health - Anderson and Fairfield Hospitals to its 100 Great Community Hospitals List

(CINCINNATI; June 24, 2015) — Becker's Hospital Review has published the 2015 edition of its list of "100 Great Community Hospitals" in the United States and the list includes Mercy Health – Anderson and Fairfield Hospitals.

“Helping our community be well is at the heart of our mission and I congratulate everyone at Anderson Hospital on a job well done. They live our mission every day and it’s their hard work and dedication to patient care that led to Becker’s Hospital Review naming us one the country’s 100 Great Community Hospitals,” said Jeff Graham, Mercy Health East Market President and CEO.

“There’s no reason great healthcare shouldn’t be convenient and easily accessible in our communities. We pride ourselves on providing top quality care close to home to make lives better not just for our patients, but also for their family and friends, and this honor validates our work and our approach,” said Thomas Urban, North Market President and CEO.

Becker’s Hospital Review notes that the 100 Great Community Hospitals list is not an endorsement of included hospitals, health systems or associated healthcare providers and that organizations cannot pay for inclusion on this list.

The Becker's Hospital Review editorial team selected hospitals for inclusion based on various rankings and awards, including those from iVantage Health Analytics, Truven Health Analytics, Healthgrades and CareChex.

The hospitals featured on the list have fewer than 550 beds and minimal teaching programs. Some are suburban hospitals but many are located in rural areas and are their communities' sole hospital. Becker's Hospital Review has published a version of this every year since 2011, and this is the fourth time the list has included 100 hospitals.
