Thank you for your interest in St. Rita’s Family Medicine residency program. We operate inside a level 2 trauma center with open heart and neurovascular surgery in a community setting. We have excellent faculty and staff who are eager to teach and are excited to learn right alongside our residents. By the time you have graduated from our program you will have served in several leadership positions and participated in our weekly leadership didactics to help hone your skills as leaders in the medical community.  Opportunities for research and quality improvement projects that are affiliated with Ohio Northern University and The Ohio State University will guide the academic experience. The Family Medicine practice, where you will see patients as a resident, provides a team based approach. We have pharmacists and behavioralists available to evaluate patients with you to guide treatment as needed. You’ll be introduced to some of the integrative medical practices — evidence based supplements and vitamins — to help round out your knowledge of the world of pharmacy.  I can’t speak enough about the positive atmosphere and collegiality that exists at St. Rita’s! We strive to make your learning environment challenging and fun as we work together to treat our patients.

I was born and raised in rural western Pennsylvania and went to medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA.  I have had experiences in inpatient and outpatient aspects of primary care.  I enjoy taking care of all patients, getting to know them and their values and thoughts.  I enjoy working with my patients to accomplish treatment goals.  I particularly enjoy working with patients with chronic diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure, addiction, depression and anxiety, and musculoskeletal issues.  I use osteopathic manipulations to improve pain in the neck, back, and pelvis.  I perform a variety of joint and soft tissue injections.
