Program Overview

Welcome to the St. Vincent Medical Center Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program. This is 4-year, 16-resident program has initial ACGME accreditation (previously an AOA-accredited Osteopathic residency). We accept 4 new residents per year. Our mission is to prepare residents as competent, compassionate practitioners in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology, prepared to successfully complete examination for board certification.

Residents receive training at a tertiary center, as well as at several community hospitals, which provides diversity in patient care and management. High-risk obstetrical patients are managed by OBGYN residents working with an in-house attending. The overall residency program is supported by more than 20 OBGYN attendings, offering residents the opportunity to learn a variety of techniques and procedures, including robotic da Vinci surgery.

100% of our graduated residents to-date have successfully achieved board certification on the American Osteopathic Association Board Certification exam.
