Program Overview

Welcome to the St. Vincent Medical Center Pediatric Residency Program. This is a three-year program with continued accreditation by ACGME. We are currently approved to accept four new residents per year. Our mission is to provide a diverse experience with evidence-based education that prepares residents for today’s challenges in pediatrics.

We prepare our residents to provide competent, compassionate care, which is comprehensive and continuous from childhood through adolescence to young adulthood. The academic curriculum incorporates the tools and skills to facilitate lifelong learning and development, while the diversity of our faculty strengths enhances residents’ hands-on education.

St. Vincent Medical Center is a tertiary care facility with a patient population offering a broad range of patient encounters. Our Emergency Department is a Level I Trauma Center with Pediatric Commitment, one of only two Level I facilities in the region.
