The Indian American Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Mercy Health - Cincinnati presents the 4th Annual Gala - a Diwali Celebration

(CINCINNATI, September 26, 2014) - The Indian American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky (IACC) is hosting its four-year anniversary celebration gala on Friday, October 24, 2014. This formal event will welcome Indian-origin and American professionals, physicians and local businesses. The evening will be a cultural experience with a modern approach to the Indian Festival of Lights, Diwali and it takes places from 6-11 p.m. on the Event Lawn at the Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati, located at 1000 Broadway, Cincinnati, OH 45202.

Diwali, also known as the "festival of lights," is an ancient Hindu festival celebrated in autumn every year. The festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil and hope over despair. Diwali also marks the beginning of the New Year in some parts of India. Businesses close out their old year and start a new fiscal year with blessings from Lakshmi and other deities.

IACC and Mercy Health - Cincinnati are pleased to welcome US Senator Rob Portman as the keynote speaker for the evening. National and local business and political leaders will attend the event. Award winning performers will entertain 700 guests. In addition to authentic Indian food, the event will also feature cultural stations to immerse guests in the spirit of Diwali. The evening will conclude with a fireworks show.

Tickets are $150 for members, $150 for Mercy Health employees, $200 for non-members and $2000 for a table of 10. Proceeds will benefit the good works of the Mercy Health Foundation and IACC.
