Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center

St. Vincent is home to five Life Flight air ambulances, holds the highest designation for treating high-risk mothers and babies, a Comprehensive Stroke Center and is a Level I Trauma Center for adults and a Level II for children. 

The Regional Heart and Vascular Center

Located on the St. Vincent campus are orthopedics, Mercy Health Regional Heart and Vascular Institute, Mercy Health Neuroscience Institute and the area’s only Mobile Stroke Unit. St. Vincent provides a modern, attractive and secure campus and takes a leadership role in providing quality medical education and community development.

St. Anne Hospital provides a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient healthcare services in a single location. Henry Ford Hospital – Detroit, MI
 
Henry Ford Hospital is the rotation site for the congestive heart failure rotation.

The program has recently upgraded the fellow library as well as provided a private call suite for fellow to use at any time, including those uncommon times that a fellow is called in at night and would like to stay.

Rotation Schedule

The Cardiovascular Disease fellowship includes clinical rotations in a variety of cardiology areas. The intent of this program is to individualize training within the framework of ABIM, COCATS and ACGME guidelines to optimize each fellow’s ability to achieve excellence in cardiology. Rotations are flexible and may be tailored to your goals and interests for future general cardiology practice or advanced training in interventional, electrophysiology or heart failure/transplant.

Didactic Curriculum

Supplemental to clinical curriculum, this program has a robust schedule of didactic activities, including, but not limited to, lectures, case presentations, sub-specialty case conferences, in-service demonstrations, journal clubs and Morbidity and Mortality conferences.
