St. Vincent Medical Center Cardiovascular fellowship program includes rotations is a variety of Cardiology areas. The intent of this program is to individualize training within the framework of ABIM, COCATS, and ACGME guidelines to optimize each fellow’s ability to achieve excellence in cardiology. Rotations are flexible and may be tailored to your goals and interests for future general Cardiology practice or advanced training in Interventional, Electrophysiology, or Heart Failure/Transplant.  All fellows will complete 24 months of required clinical training.

Rotations include:

  • Echocardiography
  • Electrophysiology
  • Nuclear Cardiology
  • Cardiac Catheterization
  • Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Congenital Heart Disease
  • Chronic Heart Failure/Transplant/Rehabilitation
  • Inpatient/Critical Care Unit
  • Vascular Medicine/Peripheral Vascular Disease

We partner with Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MA, and Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA, to teach fellowship Cardiovascular care.

Supplemental to clinical curriculum, this program has an ambitious schedule of didactic activities, including, but not limited to, lectures, case presentations, sub-specialty conferences, in-service demonstrations, journal clubs, and Morbidity and Mortality conferences.
