Mercy Health Invites Cancer Survivors to Attend a Very Special Party on Thursday, April 3

(CINCINNATI; March 26, 2014) – Mercy Health, which provides advanced, compassionate, quality care in your neighborhood through its care network, invites cancer survivors and their families to attend a very special party that Mercy Health and the American Cancer Society are hosting in their honor.

The party takes place from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 3 at the Mercy Health – Anderson HealthPlex, located at 7495 State Road in Anderson Township, ZIP 45255. Complimentary light refreshments will be available and each attending survivor will receive a gift.

Guest speakers from Mercy Health and the Society will announce their partnership in the fight against cancer and cancer survivors will share their stories of hope and inspiration during this celebratory evening.

The party is the kickoff to a series of American Cancer Society Relay For Life® events that Mercy Health and the Society are putting on in May and June to raise funds for the continuing fight against cancer.

On the East Side of Cincinnati, teams from Mercy Health – Anderson and Clermont Hospitals will run to raise funds at a Relay For Life event taking place Friday and Saturday, May 9 and 10 at Anderson High School. Relay For Life is an organized, overnight community fundraising walk. Teams of people camp out around a track and members of each team take turns walking around the track to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much. A wide array of food, games and activities provide entertainment and build camaraderie, making the Society’s Relay For Life a family-friendly event for the entire community.
