Mercy Health Names Vanessa Vonderhaar-Picard Chief Nursing Officer of The Jewish Hospital

(CINCINNATI; March 10, 2014) – Mercy Health, which provides advanced, compassionate quality care in your neighborhood through its care network, announces that Vanessa Vonderhaar-Picard has accepted the position of Chief Nursing Officer at The Jewish Hospital – Mercy Health. 

Vonderhaar-Picard assumed her role on Monday, January 27.

Previously, Vonderhaar-Picard was with Mercy Health – Fairfield Hospital for 16 years, serving most recently as Clinical Director of Nursing for Emergency Services. 

While at Fairfield Hospital, she held positions in a wide variety of hospital departments, including the Intensive Care Unit, Critical Care, Nursing Education, Staff Development, Telemetry Services, Outpatient Infusion Center, Simulation Lab and Diabetes Education.

Vonderhaar-Picard has Master’s degrees in both Nursing and Education from Xavier University. She is a Certified Nurse Manager Leader, an active member of American Association of Critical Care Nurses, Sigma Theta Tau and is Master Trainer with TeamSTEPPS, a teamwork system for health care professionals that works to improve patient safety, as well as communication and teamwork skills among health care professionals. She lives in Evendale with her husband and two sons.
