The Jewish Hospital - Mercy Health to Host July 17 Community Open House for new Patient Care Tower

Mercy Health – Cincinnati, which provides advanced, quality, compassionate care in your neighborhood through its care network, invites the community to attend an open house celebrating the completion of construction at The Jewish Hospital.

The Community Open House takes place from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, at the hospital, located at 4777 E. Galbraith Road, directly across the street from Kenwood Towne Center. Parking is available across the street from the hospital at 4750 E. Galbraith Road with shuttle service to the hospital.

"We invite the community to join us as we usher in a new era at The Jewish Hospital," said Pat Davis-Hagens, Mercy Health Central Market President and CEO. "We’ve renovated our campus to be more welcoming and patient-friendly and open house visitors will have the opportunity to tour our new patient tower, which is the centerpiece of our campus."

Tours will include visits to the:
  • emergency department
  • outpatient surgery
  • Blood Cancer Center
  • critical care/intensive care unit
  • orthopaedic unit
  • courtyard and shofar fountain
Light refreshments will be available.

"While the tower is new, our mission of service and commitment to compassionate care hasn’t changed," added Davis-Hagens. "We look forward to continuing to serve this community."

The $80 million expansion project at The Jewish Hospital remade and created one main entrance to the hospital and added a 154,000 square-foot five-story patient tower and a 32,000 square-foot renovation to the existing facility. The project included upgrades or new construction for the intensive care unit, blood cancer center, emergency department, orthopaedic unit, cardiology, neuroscience and medical education center as well as making all patient rooms private and improving parking.

The tower opens for patients on Friday, July 22.
