(CINCINNATI; May 2, 2016) – Mercy Health - Cincinnati, which provides advanced, compassionate, quality care in your neighborhood through its care network, announces a free health screening program from The Jewish Hospital – Mercy Health at the Kenwood Towne Center.

Proper use of your medications is important to your health and ensures you’re receiving the benefits you should from the medicine but also lessening your risk of any potential side effects. It’s a good idea to ask questions and raise any concerns you might have about your medications. That’s where The Jewish Hospital’s pharmacist can help. The pharmacist can help you understand:
• What the medicine is supposed to do.
• How and when to take it and how much to take
• Any special instructions on how to take the medication, such as liquids that you need to shake well before taking or how to use your inhaler properly
• Any food, drinks, medicines or activities you should avoid while taking the medicine
• Any side effects the medicine may cause and what to do if you experience them
• What to do if you miss a dose
• How to store your medicine to ensure it remains effective.
